Loftsails - windsurf sails shaped by feel, testing and experience

Loftsails is a specialist windsurfing brand founded in 1999 by Monty Spindler. The range is built for riders who want well-balanced sails, matched masts and reliable rig parts for freeride, wave, freerace, foil, freestyle and racing. Loftsails focuses on clean handling, stable power and practical design that works on the water, not only on paper.

What makes Loftsails stand out?

  • Specialist sail design: Loftsails focuses on windsurfing sail development, with models for freeride, wave, freerace, foil, freestyle, raceboard and slalom.
  • Long-running programmes: Oxygen has been part of the range since 2000, while Racingblade has been developed since 2007.
  • Tested in Tarifa: the brand is strongly connected with Monty Spindler’s design work and testing in demanding windsurfing conditions.
  • Cam and no-cam options: Racingblade, Skyblade and Switchblade use TekCam systems, while Oxygen gives freeride riders a simpler no-cam feel.
  • Built for real use: Purelip uses full X-Ply construction and Integrated Panels for durability in strong wave conditions.
  • Complete rig support: Loftsails offers RDM and SDM masts, mast extensions, battens, collars, head caps, zippers and other spare parts.

Who is Loftsails for?

Loftsails is for windsurfers who want their sail, mast and rig parts to work together properly. Freeriders can choose Oxygen as an easy and fast freeride windsurf sail for everyday sessions.

Riders looking for more drive and speed can go for Switchblade, while Racingblade is aimed at serious slalom sailing. For foil racing, Skyblade is designed as a dedicated windsurf sail for low-drag hydrofoil use.

Wave sailors can choose Purelip or Wavescape if they need a wave windsurf sail with control, durability and confidence in stronger conditions.

You can also choose a windsurf mast from the Team Edition III, Vision III or Spark III lines, depending on the carbon level and performance you need.
