Women’s 5/3 mm wetsuit for cold water

Rip Curl Dawn Patrol Performance 5/3 Chest Zip is a women’s wetsuit designed for colder water conditions. The 5/3 mm thickness provides more insulation in the body and better freedom of movement in the arms and legs — where the wetsuit needs to work with you while paddling, standing up and moving on the board.

It is a good choice for cold surf sessions, transitional seasons, colder mornings and conditions where a thinner 4/3 mm wetsuit may no longer give enough protection from cooling down.

Chest zip and sealed seams

The chest zip entry helps reduce water flushing and improves the fit around the upper part of the wetsuit. This matters during duck dives, wipeouts, stronger wind and longer time spent sitting in the water.

Sealed Seam construction also helps limit water entry through the panel joins. E5 tape reinforces the seams and supports more stable thermal comfort during regular use.

E5 neoprene and E4 thermo lining

The model uses E5 neoprene — a lightweight and flexible material that helps maintain freedom of movement despite the thicker 5/3 mm construction. This helps reduce restriction around the shoulders and back while paddling.

Inside, E4 thermo lining supports warmth and comfort against the skin. This is useful during longer sessions in cold water, where insulation depends not only on wetsuit thickness but also on the quality of the internal lining.
