HRD is a unique feature using a process that allows for the rails of the board to be shaped in 3D. There are three sections to the rail as it runs the length of the board. In the middle of the board, the rail is thin for grip and improved upwind ability, under the feet the rail is inverted and curved like a surfboard rail allowing the board to smoothly track through chop and improving its carving ability. As the rail reaches the tips, it thins out again, allowing superior grip and bite to give excellent pop.

The carbon series benefits from a high-tech construction, which incorporates carbon fiber to provide extra strength and stiffness, allowing a reduction in the mass of material used in the board. Combined with an ultra-light-weight top-sheet layer, this results in a much lighter board, which makes a significant difference on the water where you can push your moves even further. The carbon construction also makes the board very responsive as it reacts instantly to all of the demands of the rider.

On the water, the TRAX HRD Carbon Series offers an instant feeling of speed and performance, the HRD rail eliminates spray and feels very comfortable regardless of the water conditions. The flex has been tuned with the properties of carbon fibre to provide the best pop off the water; the tips are exceedingly responsive and help to launch you into the air when you load up the edge for take-off. The deck shape is stripped down for more simplicity and better contact between the bindings and the board. The 3D work in the middle section, another heritage of the TRAX, helps the centre of the board track in a straight line with a solid feel for more accuracy and control when riding.
