A wider outline combined with the 3-stage rocker and the SYNCED CURVES concept provides a unique mix of stability and radical wave performance. The board feels as stable as a board 5 liters bigger, yet turns as radical as a board 5 liters smaller.
The segmented rocker line (nose, midsection, tail) ensures optimal behavior in every maneuver – easier initiation of the bottom turn with the front foot and powerful top turns controlled by the back foot. The progressive tail-kick generates instant acceleration and allows for tight, controlled snaps at the top of the wave.
GRIP VS. ULTRA GRIP
- Grip D/LAB – lower nose rocker with a wider nose and tail. Planes up earlier, keeps momentum in less powerful waves, and performs better in euro-wave conditions. Offers extra drive on slower waves and works well in onshore conditions.
- Ultra Grip D/LAB – higher nose rocker with a narrower outline. Requires more wave power and wind but provides superior control in high-speed rail turns on powerful ground swells. Optimized for spots like Maui, Cape Town, Cabo Verde.
TRI VS. QUAD
- Tri setup – ideal for side/side-on conditions, allows for vertical and looser turns. In bigger waves it requires a more committed, vertical riding style.
- Quad setup – best for side/side-off and strong currents, offering more grip especially for lighter riders and smaller boards. Not recommended for onshore conditions as the extra drag of four fins limits slashy turns.
