The 2024 FLY II PRO is an innovative advancement of the first FLY edition from 2023. The shape has undergone revisions similar to those of the FLY II, but it has also been enhanced with premium materials to deliver exceptional performance and user experience.

From the original FLY, designers goal was to enhance stability, stiffness, and improve handling and control. The FLY II PRO introduces Aluula Aeris X, featuring a +/-45° X weave as opposed to regular Aluula, with lightweight Aeris wingtips, resulting in significantly increased bias stiffness. This enables a thinner and stiffer Leading Edge (LE) than ever before. Additionally, since the materials are composed of a single polymer, they are ready for recycling.

In general the handle weight has been reduced, the FLY PRO now features even lighter carbon handles with black EVA without texture, for a clean and technical look.

The sizes are carefully chosen - the half square metre increments of the Fly Pro are optimum for the more 'pro‘ rider. From 3,5 to 6,5 - you can find your ideal premium NeilPryde wing.

Product highlights

High lift

Wing generates a lot of power so you can go to the water with smaller size than other models

Unique carbon handles

Unique handles made of carbon and covered with EVA provide an ergonomic hand position, which reduces fatigue and makes control and manoeuvring easier

ALUULA Aeris frame

High-quality tubes, as well as super-light and rigid covering made of ALUULA Aeris and ALUULA Aeris X materials, made it possible to reduce the diameter of the leading edge and optimise the airflow in the Fly II Pro

Stability

The shape and technical solutions of the Fly II Pro guarantee incredible stability, even in a gusty winds

Lightness

The use of state-of-the-art materials has reduced the weight by more than 10% compared to the classic Fly II version

Clever sizing

Size increments of 0.5m² allow advanced riders to select a wing for every condition while maintaining an overall compact range of variants

Features

High tension profile with structured camber lens

The 3D shape of the canopy leading edge is defined by a series of transverse panels that converge at the wingtips. This leverages the LE Tube structure to maximize tension in the critical entry sections – the result is more lift and a higher stall angle for better acceleration in light winds, and the ability to fly efficiently at low angles of attack for better control and higher top speeds in strong winds.

Vented strut

The large opening between the LE and the front of the fill panel (which connects the canopy to the strut) allows the pressure to equalize across the two sides of the wing. This improves overall performance and makes the wing even more stable.

High lift concept

Due to the highly refined LE geometry and entry shaping, each wing produces the maximum thrust (power and acceleration) for its size. This dramatically increases the range, allowing riders to use a smaller wing than is typical in each set of conditions. The result is easier handling and greater maneuverability.

Shape differences - Fly II vs Fly II Pro

The Fly II and Fly II PRO are very close. The major shape differences are the LE diameter (PRO is much smaller) and that - because it has a flatter entry angle to leverage the leading edge (LE) stiffness of the Aluula and reduce drag - the Fly PRO canopy appears slightly smaller when shown as flat pieces.

Transverse canopy paneling

The new wings have much more precise shaping built in, while retaining the transverse paneling that holds it‘s shape under load and stretches much less over time. There are now 4 stitched transverse panels on each side of the wing compared to only 2 in the previous model, vastly increasing shape stability.

Integral batten system

Sewn-in composite battens create a flat, fast trailing edge with minimum flutter.

Unique carbon handle design

Reduced weight and added stiffness further enhance the state of the art, proprietary handles in the FLY II Pro.

Staggered material weights on LE

LE with ALUULA AERIS X materials for strength and durability and ALUULA AERIS for durable & ultralight wingtips.

High quality bladder with anti-twist system

Fixing the bladder in different spots in the tube prevents it from twisting and therefore protects it from breaking when inflating. It also makes changing the bladder super easy and long-lasting shape control. Bladder made in Germany.

Canopy material

The trailing edge panels forward of the frame are made from Challenge Code 95 for exceptional stiffness and long-lasting shape control. Transverse paneling holds shape under load and reduces stretch over time.

ALUULA Aeris X

In the front panels of Leading Edge and Middle Strut. The new ALUULA materials enable a thinner and stiffer Leading Edge and Middle Strut than ever before.

ALUULA Aeris

Lightweight wingtips in Leading Edge and Middle Strut. The stiffest and lightest material found, allowing for leading edge diameter reduction.
