Extra-wide boom tail for large race sails
The Unifiber Carbon V2 Outside Extra Wide Tail +50 (205-255) - Elite is designed for large modern race sails that require substantial clearance at the rear of the boom.
The inner boom tail width is 29 cm. This extra-wide profile allows deep sail shapes to sit naturally without pressing against the boom, especially under high loads or with reduced outhaul tension.
Elite construction
This boom tail belongs to the Carbon Elite range, where high stiffness and low weight are key priorities.
With an operating weight of 1 kg, the construction keeps rear-end mass and swing weight relatively low for its size, helping maintain better control of larger rigs during manoeuvres.
Outside Tail construction
The Outside Tail design means the boom tail slides over the outside of the boom body.
This layout helps combine high stiffness with relatively low weight. The boom tail diameter is 38 mm.
Pulley system
The boom tail features a pulley system at the clew for smooth and precise outhaul adjustment.
It can be used with an adjustable outhaul system, allowing sail tension to be changed according to wind strength and point of sail.
205-255 cm range
The +50 cm adjustment range corresponds to a 205-255 cm boom configuration.
This size is intended for large freerace and race sails where both boom length and sufficient clearance for a deep sail profile are important.
Secure locking
Double Pin Locks are mounted directly on the boom tail.
The twin-pin system securely holds the selected length and helps minimise unwanted movement under high loads.
