Lightweight boom tail for race use

The Unifiber Carbon V2 Outside Wide Tail +50 (190-240) - Elite is designed for demanding riders using larger freerace and race sails. High-grade pre-preg carbon construction provides very high stiffness at low weight, resulting in direct sail feedback and stable profile support under load.

This component belongs to the Elite range, where low weight and stiffness are the main priorities.

Wider profile for modern race sails

The inner boom tail width is 17 cm. The wider outline provides additional clearance for deep modern race sail profiles and helps reduce unwanted contact between the sail and boom.

High stiffness also helps minimise sail profile distortion under heavy load and higher outhaul tension.

Outside Tail construction

This model uses an Outside Tail design, meaning the boom tail slides over the outside of the boom body.

This solution helps reduce rear-end weight and swing weight. That is particularly useful with larger race rigs, where keeping the back of the boom light improves handling during manoeuvres and direction changes.
