Light and stiff Elite boom tail
The Unifiber Carbon V2 Inside Wide Tail +50 - Elite is made from high-grade pre-preg carbon and designed to deliver high stiffness at minimal weight.
The construction reduces flex in the rear section of the boom under load and helps the sail maintain a stable profile. Its low weight also reduces swing weight, contributing to more direct and controlled handling during manoeuvres.
Wider profile for deeper sails
The inner boom tail width is 14.5 cm. The wider outline provides additional clearance for modern sails with deeper profiles.
This extra space helps reduce contact between the sail and boom and supports the intended sail shape under higher loads.
Pulley system
The boom tail features a pulley system at the clew for smooth and precise outhaul adjustment.
It can be configured with an adjustable outhaul system of your choice, allowing the setup to be matched to your preferred trimming method.
Inside Tail construction
The Inside Tail design means the boom tail slides inside a compatible boom body.
The tail diameter is 27 mm. Combined with the lightweight Elite carbon construction, this helps keep rear-end weight low and improves overall rig control.
Configure Me
The Carbon V2 Inside Wide Tail +50 - Elite is part of the Unifiber Configure Me modular boom system. Compatible components can be replaced, renewed or upgraded individually without replacing the complete boom.
The boom tail can therefore be used as a replacement part or to modify the configuration of a compatible boom.
Secure adjustment
The adjustment range is +50 cm.
Double Pin Locks are mounted on the boom tail. The twin-pin system securely holds the selected length and helps minimise unwanted movement under load.
Low weight
The boom tail weighs 0.61 kg. Low weight is one of the key advantages of the Elite range, helping reduce swing weight and improve rig control during manoeuvres and direction changes.
