Stiff boom tail for larger sails
The Unifiber Carbon V2 Outside Wide Tail +50 - HD is designed for larger sails where a deeper profile requires additional clearance at the rear of the boom.
The inner tail width is 17 cm. The wider outline helps prevent the boom from interfering with the sail and allows the sail profile to maintain its intended shape under load.
It is particularly well suited to larger freeride, freerace and slalom setups where boom stiffness and stable sail support are important.
HD 70% pre-preg carbon
The boom tail uses a Heavy Duty 70% pre-preg carbon lay-up. This provides a practical balance of stiffness, durability and price.
The reinforced construction reduces flex under load and provides more direct feedback from the sail.
The HD version is slightly heavier than the Elite equivalent, but places greater emphasis on durability and resistance to regular loading.
Outside Tail construction
This model uses an Outside Tail design, where the boom tail slides over the outside of the boom body.
This construction helps keep weight and swing weight low at the rear of the boom, contributing to a more responsive feel during manoeuvres and sail handling.
The boom tail diameter is 38 mm.
Pulley system
The boom tail features a pulley outhaul system for smooth and precise sail tension adjustment.
It can be configured with an adjustable outhaul system of your choice, making it particularly useful with larger sails where outhaul loads are higher and accurate trimming matters more.
Configure Me
The Carbon V2 Outside Wide Tail +50 - HD is part of the Unifiber Configure Me modular boom system. Compatible boom components can be replaced, renewed or upgraded individually without replacing the complete boom.
The boom tail is compatible with Carbon HD Monocoque V2 190 cm and 220 cm boom bodies.
Secure adjustment
The adjustment range is +50 cm.
Length adjustment is secured by Double Pin Locks mounted directly on the boom tail. The twin-pin system keeps the selected setting firmly locked and helps minimise unwanted movement under load.
