HD carbon construction
The Unifiber HD Carbon V2 Inside Wide Tail +50 uses a Heavy Duty 70% pre-preg carbon lay-up. This provides a practical balance of stiffness, durability and price, making the tail well suited to regular and more demanding use.
The reinforced construction helps reduce flex under load and keeps the rear section of the boom stable during powered-up sailing.
Wider profile for modern sails
The inner tail width is 14.5 cm. The wider outline provides additional clearance for the deeper profiles of modern sails and helps reduce unwanted contact between the sail and boom.
This allows the sail to maintain its intended shape under higher loads and outhaul tension.
Pulley system and quick attachment
The tail features a pulley outhaul system for smooth and precise sail tension adjustment. It is also compatible with adjustable outhaul systems, allowing riders to choose the trimming setup that best suits their needs.
The system can also accept a Loop-to-Loop setup for quick and straightforward rigging.
Configure Me
The HD Carbon V2 Inside Wide Tail +50 is part of the Unifiber Configure Me modular system. Compatible boom components can be replaced, renewed or upgraded individually without changing the complete boom.
The tail can therefore be used as a replacement part or to modify the configuration of a compatible boom.
Secure length adjustment
The tail tube diameter is 27 mm and the extension range is +50 cm.
Adjustment is secured by Double Pin Locks mounted on the boom body. The twin-pin system keeps the tail firmly locked at the selected length and helps minimise unwanted movement under load.
Weight and construction
The tail weighs 0.75 kg. The HD series is slightly heavier than comparable Elite components, but the additional weight comes with a construction focused on durability and resistance to regular loading.
