Elite carbon boom body 170
The Unifiber Elite Carbon V2 Body 170 Inside Wide Tail is a standalone boom body designed for building a light and very stiff setup within the Unifiber Configure Me system.
The body is made from 100% high-grade pre-preg carbon. This construction reduces flex under heavy loads and provides direct power transfer between rider and sail.
Slim 27 x 29 mm grip
The body uses an oval 27 x 29 mm grip. The extended thinner grip section helps keep your hands clear of the oversized rear section when gybing.
This is particularly useful during dynamic sailing, where quick hand movement across the boom can make manoeuvres smoother and more controlled.
Inside Wide Tail
The body is designed for use with a compatible Inside Wide Tail.
In this setup, the boom tail slides inside the boom body. The construction provides a compact, direct feel and works well with modern freeride and freerace sails.
Double Pin Locks are mounted on the boom body and securely hold the tail at the selected length.
100% pre-preg carbon
The full-carbon construction is focused on high stiffness and low weight.
Reduced boom arm flex helps the sail maintain a stable profile during strong gusts and high-speed sailing. This becomes especially important with larger sails, where boom loads are considerably higher.
Monocoque Boom Body
The body uses monocoque construction with continuous boom arms and 2 mm tube walls.
This improves load distribution and provides high stiffness at an operating weight of 1.69 kg.
High-density EVA
High-density EVA is used on the front arch.
This area is particularly exposed to abrasion during regular use, so the more durable grip material helps improve long-term wear resistance.
Only compatible with Modular Boom Head
The Elite Carbon V2 Body 170 Inside Wide Tail is compatible exclusively with the Unifiber Modular Boom Head.
The head can be installed without tools, making it quick to transfer between compatible Configure Me boom bodies.
Configure Me
The body is part of the Unifiber Configure Me modular system.
The boom head, body and tail can be selected separately, allowing individual components to be replaced without buying a complete new boom. The same boom head can also be used with several compatible bodies.
This is practical when expanding a quiver, storing equipment or travelling.
