Narrower tail for wave and freeride sails
The Unifiber HD Alloy V-Grip Inside Tail +50 is designed for the more compact sail profiles commonly used in wave and freeride sailing.
The inner tail width is 12 cm. This narrower layout provides suitable clearance for smaller and medium-sized sails that do not require the wider tail used with larger freerace or slalom setups.
For HD V-Grip boom bodies
The tail is designed for compatible Unifiber HD V-Grip boom bodies within the Configure Me system. It allows the rear section to be replaced or the boom configuration to be changed without replacing the complete boom.
The tail tube diameter is 22.5 mm, matching the relevant HD V-Grip boom body construction.
Anodised 6061-T8 aluminium
The tail is made from tempered 6061-T8 aluminium. Its anodised finish improves corrosion resistance and long-term durability during regular use, particularly in salt water.
The complete component weighs 0.53 kg, keeping the construction relatively light despite its reinforced build.
Loop & Go
The Loop & Go system makes outhaul attachment quick and straightforward. It is a simple solution for setups where an adjustable outhaul pulley system is not required.
0-50 cm adjustment range
The 0-50 cm adjustment range allows the boom length to be matched to different sail sizes supported by the compatible boom body.
The tail works with Double Pin Locks mounted on the boom body. The twin pins securely hold the selected length and help minimise unwanted movement under load.
Configure Me
The HD Alloy V-Grip Inside Tail +50 is part of the Unifiber Configure Me system. The modular concept allows compatible boom heads, bodies and tails to be combined or replaced individually.
If one component becomes worn or damaged, the complete boom does not need to be replaced, making maintenance and future setup changes easier.
