Wider tail for large sails
The Unifiber HD Alloy Inside Wide Tail +50 is designed for larger freeride, freerace and slalom sails with deeper profiles that require additional clearance at the rear of the boom.
The inner tail width is 18 cm. The wider construction helps prevent the boom from interfering with the sail and allows the sail profile to maintain its intended shape, particularly when sailing powered up.
Anodised 6061-T8 aluminium
The tail is made from tempered 6061-T8 aluminium. Its anodised finish improves corrosion resistance and durability during regular use, particularly in salt water.
The tube diameter is 29.1 mm. The larger cross-section supports stiffness under the higher loads generated by bigger sails.
The complete tail weighs 0.68 kg.
3-pulley system
The tail features a pre-installed 3-pulley system for smooth and precise outhaul adjustment.
It can be used with a standard outhaul setup or with an adjustable outhaul system, allowing sail tension to be changed while sailing.
This version does not feature the Loop & Go system.
0-50 cm adjustment range
The 0-50 cm adjustment range allows the boom length to be matched to different sail sizes within the range supported by the compatible boom body.
The tail works with Double Pin Locks mounted on the boom body. The twin-pin system securely locks the selected length and helps minimise unwanted movement under load.
Configure Me
The HD Alloy Inside Wide Tail +50 is part of the Unifiber Configure Me modular system. Compatible boom heads, bodies and tails can be combined and individual components can be replaced without changing the complete boom.
The wider tail also makes it possible to adapt a compatible boom to larger freeride, freerace or slalom sails with deeper profiles.
