Wider tail for larger, deeper-profile sails
The Unifiber Essentials Alloy Inside Wide Tail +50 is designed for larger freeride, freerace and slalom sails where a deeper profile requires additional clearance at the rear of the boom.
The inner tail width is 18 cm. This extra space helps prevent the boom from interfering with the sail profile and allows the sail to maintain its intended shape under load.
3-pulley system
The tail features an integrated 3-pulley system for smooth and precise outhaul adjustment, particularly useful with larger sails where higher loads are involved.
The system can be used with a standard outhaul setup as well as with an adjustable outhaul system for trimming while sailing.
T8 aluminium
The tail is made from T8 aluminium, providing a good balance of stiffness, durability and weight.
The tube diameter is 25.7 mm and the complete tail weighs 0.58 kg.
0-50 cm adjustment range
The 0-50 cm adjustment range allows the boom length to be matched to different sail sizes.
The tail works with Double Pin Locks mounted on the compatible boom body. The twin-pin system securely locks the tail at the selected length.
Configure Me
The Essentials Alloy Inside Wide Tail +50 is part of the Unifiber Configure Me system. Compatible boom heads, bodies and tails can be combined or replaced individually without the need to replace the complete boom.
This makes it a practical upgrade if you want to adapt an existing boom for larger sails with deeper profiles.
