A classic longboard developed with Edouard Delpero
Torq TET Delpero Classic was developed with world champion Edouard Delpero and shaper Alain Minvielle. The design combines Minvielle’s shaping experience gained in California with Delpero’s input on board handling and traditional longboard surfing.
The shape is inspired by 1960s longboards but incorporates a more modern bottom line. This allows the board to retain the smooth flow and glide of a classic design while responding more efficiently when changing direction.
Smooth handling and noseriding
The rocker is designed to help the rider maintain noserides in the pocket of the wave. At the same time, the board provides smooth glide in small, weaker conditions as well as in larger surf.
Its 9’2” length and 77.2-litre volume support efficient paddling and early wave entry. The Torq TET Delpero Classic is aimed at surfers who value relaxed trimming, moving along the deck and traditional longboard style.
Volume distribution from nose to tail
The board’s volume distribution is a key part of the design. The thicker nose provides support during cross-steps and noseriding, while the thinner tail makes it easier to apply pressure and initiate turns.
This combination allows you to move smoothly along the deck and then change direction without the board feeling excessively heavy or slow to respond.
Single-fin setup
The board features a single US Box fin system. The single-fin setup matches its classic character and provides smooth, predictable tracking along the wave.
The fin position can be adjusted within the box. Moving it forward makes turning easier, while placing it closer to the tail increases tracking stability and directional control.
The board is supplied without a fin.
Torq TET construction
The TET construction combines a lightweight EPS core, biaxial fibreglass cloth and epoxy resin. Its outer Shield Skin layer improves resistance to scratches and minor damage caused by transport and regular use.
Torq TET boards are produced in precision CNC-machined moulds, helping maintain consistent shape, dimensions and finish.
