Low-profile UXT windsurfing baseplate
NeilPryde X-BASE UXT is a windsurfing baseplate designed to make rig setup, transport and maintenance easier. Thanks to the removable tendon & pin unit, you do not need to remove the entire baseplate from the board after every session. This is useful if you sail often, carry your board in a boardbag or want to prepare your setup faster before the next session.
Dual T-nut connection
The baseplate uses two T-nut screws for a secure and stable connection with the mast track. This reduces the risk of the baseplate slipping while sailing and allows precise position adjustment on the board. You'll appreciate this especially when you stick to a single setting for a given board
Removable tendon & pin unit
The tendon & pin unit detaches in seconds. This makes transport, cleaning and storage easier without removing the base from the board. It is also practical when packing the board into a boardbag - fewer protruding parts mean less risk of catching or damaging other gear.
Ultra-low profile for a closer rig-to-board connection
The ultra-low profile reduces the gap between the sail and the board, supporting the Close the Gap setup. In practice, it helps keep the rig lower and closer to the deck, which can improve control and give the setup a more direct feel. The lower design also saves space during transport.
Built-in T30 tool
The UXT version includes an integrated T30 tool. This lets you make basic adjustments or remove the unit without searching for a separate key in your gear bag. It is a small detail, but one that can make setup on the spot much easier.
Tougher tendon and safe finish
The tendon joint uses a high-tech material that, according to NeilPryde, is around 50% tougher and more durable than conventional black compounds. The tendon is also easy to replace when needed. The safety rope is made from ultra-strong UHMWPE, while the rounded edges help reduce the risk of damaging the board, sail or boardbag during handling and transport.
