XO Sails Vega V2 is designed for riders who do not want to limit themselves to one discipline. It works well in wave sailing, lively Bump & Jump sessions and faster freeride conditions on flat water. That versatility makes the Vega V2 a practical choice for windsurfers looking for one sail that can cover a broad range of conditions.
Size-specific batten layout
Each Vega V2 size is tuned for a specific purpose. The smallest sails use four battens for better manoeuvrability and a more agile feel. Medium sizes come with five battens, giving a balanced mix of control and stability. The largest sizes use six battens plus a crossbatten cut-out, helping the sail maintain a stable and powerful profile when the wind increases.
Stable profile and reliable control
Tapered battens help create a clean and consistent sail shape. On the water, this translates into more predictable handling and a responsive feel as the wind changes. Vega V2 has a performance-oriented character, but it does not demand constant effort to stay under control - it is built to feel steady and composed across a wide wind range.
Durable materials for regular use
The construction combines white bi-ply, 4 mil X-ply and a full X-ply window. This material mix offers solid UV resistance and reliable durability for regular sessions. It is a sail for riders who spend a lot of time on the water and want equipment that can handle more than occasional use.
Easier rigging and better protection
Vega V2 includes mast foot protection that helps protect the board deck and feels safer around bare feet during setup and handling. Downhaul pulleys also make it easier to apply proper downhaul tension, so preparing the sail is smoother and more efficient.
Compatible with Unifiber and XOsails hardware
To get the most out of the sail’s performance potential, the brand recommends pairing Vega V2 with Unifiber Original Constant Curve masts and booms. This setup is intended to improve response and support earlier planing. At the same time, the sail remains compatible with Unifiber x XOsails rig packs, giving you the option to build a more budget-friendly complete setup without fit issues.
