XO Sails Rookie was created to make the first steps in windsurfing easier for young riders. The sail is designed not to overwhelm beginners and to give them a clear sense of control from the very first sessions. Each Rookie size features a 3D-shaped profile with a deeper lower section. This design improves balance and makes steering and trimming more straightforward. Even when the wind picks up, the Rookie remains stable and predictable, helping beginners develop their skills in a calm and controlled way.

Lightweight construction that is easy to manage

Low weight matters a lot in a children’s windsurf sail. Rookie is easy to lift, handle and manoeuvre, which makes the learning process less tiring and more natural. This helps young riders get comfortable with the rig faster and progress without unnecessary effort.

Better visibility and improved safety on the water

Bright colours make it easier to spot your child on the water, which is especially useful during lessons and supervised sessions. Clear monofilm windows are another practical feature, improving visibility of the surroundings and helping young windsurfers stay more aware of what is happening around them.

A setup that can grow with the rider

Smaller sizes from 1.0 to 2.5 m² can be paired with a lightweight aluminium mast or an epoxy mast. This gives more flexibility when putting together a complete setup - you can start with a simple option and move to a more refined configuration as the rider’s skills improve.
