Quality Battens

Unlike with many other sails on this price level, Maverick is equipped with high quality batten lay-out, the same you can find at famous Loftsails sails. These are forward-profile batten systems with Standing Battens at specific locations – that’s for responsive, low-end drive and easy upper end handling.

Small sizes, those more towards Bump & Jump windsurfing, have 4 battens (5 battens in 5.8 size), and larger sizes, those dedicated more to pure Freeride sensation, have 6 battens. The more battens your sail has the more stable it is yet the weight increases. With Maverick construction, that issue seems to be very well-balanced.

Upgraded features in 6.5/7.3 sizes

Both these sizes, designed for performance Freeride level blasting, are constructed with some special features. Not only they have 6 high quality battens for stability but also one of them crossing with boom like in high performance sails. That feature assists with better leach opening. Another important feature is the cut-out for the boom which allows using a shorter boom and make your rig more stiff and lighter.
