Versatile boom for recreational windsurfing
The Unifiber Aluminium Essentials is an aluminium boom designed for a wide range of recreational windsurfing applications. Its classic boom shape provides a natural riding position and makes it suitable for freeride sailing, learning and general everyday use.
T8 aluminium and 29 mm grip
The boom arms are made from high-quality T8 aluminium, with a 29 mm grip diameter. This classic construction combines comfortable handling with solid durability. The boom uses separate arms connected with a screwed construction.
RDM and SDM mast compatibility
The boom head is compatible with both RDM and SDM masts without the need for an additional adapter. This makes it easy to use the boom with different mast and sail setups.
Double Pin Lock adjustment
The extension system uses Double Pin Locks mounted directly on the boom body. This allows quick length adjustment and secure locking of the boom tail at the selected position.
Important construction details
The 180-230 cm and 200-250 cm sizes feature a relatively narrow boom tail. When used with very deep-profile sails, the sail may come into contact with the boom arms.
The Aluminium Essentials uses separate, screwed boom arms rather than a monocoque construction. As a result, its stiffness and long-term durability are lower than those of more advanced monocoque booms, making it primarily suitable for recreational windsurfing.
