Elite boom body for larger rigs
The Unifiber Carbon V2 Outside Wide Tail - Elite is a standalone boom body designed for building a light and highly rigid windsurfing boom with an Outside Wide Tail.
The body is made from 100% high-grade pre-preg carbon. Its construction is focused on low weight, reduced flex under load and direct power transfer between rider and sail.
The 190, 205 and 220 sizes are aimed mainly at larger freerace and race setups, where boom stiffness has a significant effect on sail profile stability.
Outside Wide Tail compatibility
This boom body is designed to work with a compatible Outside Wide Tail.
In this configuration, the boom tail slides over the outside of the boom body. This provides a favourable stiffness-to-weight ratio and helps reduce swing weight at the rear of the boom.
With larger sails, lower rear-end inertia makes the rig easier to handle during transitions and changes in sail position.
100% pre-preg carbon
The body uses a full-carbon construction made from high-grade pre-preg carbon.
Very high stiffness limits boom arm deformation under heavy loads. This helps the sail maintain its intended profile more consistently during strong gusts and high-speed sailing.
Monocoque Boom Body
The boom body uses monocoque construction, with the arms forming a continuous structural element.
This improves load distribution and allows the body to maintain high stiffness at relatively low weight. All three sizes use 2.3 mm tube walls.
29 x 30 mm grip
Every size uses an ergonomic, slightly oval 29 x 30 mm grip profile.
This shape provides a comfortable hold while maintaining the structural stiffness required from larger boom sizes.
High-density EVA is used on the front arch to improve abrasion resistance during regular use.
Only compatible with Modular Boom Head
The body is compatible exclusively with the Unifiber Modular Boom Head.
The head can be fitted and removed without tools, making it quick to transfer between compatible Configure Me boom bodies.
Configure Me
The Carbon V2 Outside Wide Tail - Elite is part of the Unifiber Configure Me modular system.
Compatible heads, bodies and tails can be combined as required, individual worn components can be replaced, and several boom configurations can be created without needing a separate boom head for every body.
This is also practical for travel and storage, as several boom bodies can share the same compatible head and tail.
