HD carbon boom body for larger rigs
The Unifiber Carbon V2 Modular Body Outside Wide Tail - HD is a standalone boom body designed for building a stiff and durable windsurfing boom with an Outside Wide Tail.
The body uses a 70% pre-preg carbon HD - Heavy Duty lay-up. This construction provides a practical balance of stiffness, durability and price, while delivering noticeably more direct feedback than aluminium designs.
Outside Wide Tail
The body is designed for use with a compatible Outside Wide Tail.
In this configuration, the boom tail slides over the outside of the boom body. This works particularly well with larger rigs, as it helps maintain high rear-end stiffness while keeping swing weight under control.
Double Pin Locks are mounted on the boom tail rather than on the body.
70% pre-preg carbon HD
The Heavy Duty construction uses a 70% pre-preg carbon lay-up and is designed for regular high-load use.
High stiffness reduces boom arm flex, provides more direct sail feedback and helps the sail maintain a stable profile through gusts and during high-speed sailing.
The HD series is slightly heavier than Elite, but places greater emphasis on durability and resistance to intensive use.
29 x 30 mm grip
Both sizes use an ergonomic oval grip with a 29 x 30 mm cross-section.
This profile provides a comfortable hold while maintaining the stiffness required from longer boom bodies intended for larger freeride, freerace and race sails.
Monocoque Boom Body
The body uses monocoque construction with continuous boom arms.
This improves load distribution and reduces unwanted structural movement under high loads. The 190 size uses 2.5 mm tube walls, while the 220 version uses 2.8 mm walls.
The longer body is therefore further reinforced for higher loads.
High-density EVA
High-density EVA is used on the front arch.
This area is particularly exposed to abrasion during regular use, so the more durable grip material helps improve long-term wear resistance.
Only compatible with Modular Boom Head
The Carbon V2 Modular Body Outside Wide Tail - HD is compatible exclusively with the Unifiber Modular Boom Head.
The head can be installed without tools, making it quick to transfer between compatible Configure Me boom bodies.
Configure Me
The body is part of the Unifiber Configure Me modular system.
The boom head, body and tail can be selected and replaced separately. This allows one boom head to be used with several bodies, individual worn components to be replaced, and the boom setup to be adapted more easily to different sails.
