Aluminium boom body for the Configure Me system
The Unifiber Essentials Alu Body is a standalone boom body designed for building a complete boom within the Unifiber Configure Me modular system.
It is compatible with the Unifiber Modular Boom Head and aluminium Essentials Inside Tails. This allows several boom configurations to be built around one boom head and different bodies or tails.
T8 aluminium and monocoque construction
The body is made from T8 aluminium. Compared with traditional multi-piece boom constructions, the monocoque design reduces play and improves overall stiffness.
All versions use 1.6 mm tube walls. This is the standard Essentials construction, making it lighter and more affordable than HD versions, but also slightly less stiff and durable under heavy use than Heavy Duty models.
29 mm grip
Every size uses a 29 mm grip diameter.
This provides a practical balance of comfort and stiffness for recreational and regular freeride sailing.
High-density EVA is used on the front arch to improve abrasion resistance in the area most exposed to contact with the mast, board and ground.
Different shapes depending on size
The 140 and 160 models use a C-shape for a more compact geometry suited to smaller and medium-sized sails.
The 180 and 200 versions use a Regular Shape, better matched to larger freeride setups.
Maximum inner body width increases with size:
140 - 37 cm
160 - 41 cm
180 - 48 cm
200 - 49 cm
Compatible with Essentials Inside Tails
Each body works with aluminium Unifiber Essentials Inside Tails with a 25.7 mm diameter.
Double Pin Locks are mounted on the boom body and securely hold the tail at the selected length.
Only compatible with Modular Boom Head
The body is designed for use with the Unifiber Modular Configure Me Boom Head.
The modular construction allows the boom head to be quickly transferred between compatible bodies, reducing the need to own a complete boom for every length range.
Configure Me
The Essentials Alu Body is part of the Unifiber Configure Me system, where the boom head, body and tail can be selected and replaced separately.
This makes servicing easier, reduces the number of complete booms needed in a quiver and allows a damaged component to be replaced without replacing the whole boom.
