The Unifiber Alloy Modular Boom - Essentials is designed for windsurfers looking for a solid and adaptable aluminium boom without the need to own several complete booms.
Four available size ranges make it easy to match the boom to different sail sizes, while the modular construction allows individual components to be changed or replaced when needed.
T8 aluminium monocoque construction
The boom body is made from T8 aluminium and uses a monocoque construction. This means the arms form one continuous structure through the front section instead of using two separate tubes attached to the boom head.
This layout improves load distribution, increases overall rigidity and reduces the number of joints exposed to repeated stress during sailing.
Modular Boom Concept
The boom is part of the Unifiber modular system, where the boom head, body and tail are separate compatible components.
This allows riders to adjust the boom configuration without replacing the complete setup. If one component becomes damaged or worn, it can also be replaced separately.
The modular layout is particularly useful for riders using several sails that require different boom lengths, and it can also help reduce the amount of equipment needed for transport.
29 mm grip
All Essentials sizes use a 29 mm grip diameter. It provides a solid and secure feel while maintaining good stiffness across the available boom lengths.
Using the same grip diameter throughout the range also gives a consistent feel when switching between different boom sizes.
Wider tail
The wider tail outline provides additional clearance for deeper modern sail profiles. This helps reduce unwanted contact between the sail and boom and allows the sail profile to maintain its intended shape under load.
This makes the Essentials suitable for a broad range of windsurfing sails and disciplines.
Easy configuration
The modular system is designed to make swapping compatible components straightforward and tool-free.
One boom head can be used with different compatible bodies and tails, making it easier to adapt the setup as the sail quiver changes.
The boom works with both RDM and SDM masts, and the required adapters are included.
