Easy wave catching

A low entry rocker reduces drag and helps the Torq TET Mod Fun accelerate in weaker surf. Additional lift through the nose reduces the risk of pearling during take-off and when dropping into steeper sections.
More control on the wave
The Mod Fun shape is not focused on stability alone. Its rounded pintail and narrowing tail outline allow the board to transition smoothly from rail to rail and initiate turns under pressure from the back foot.
The middle section uses a fast, relatively flat rocker that helps maintain speed. Tail rocker adds release during turns, allowing the board to feel shorter and more responsive than its actual length might suggest.
Flat-to-V bottom shape
The flat entry section helps the board accelerate and enter waves early. Further back, the bottom transitions into a V that continues through the tail. This shape makes it easier to roll the board from one rail to the other and guide it through smoother turns.
As a result, the Torq TET Mod Fun retains the predictable feel needed by less experienced surfers without limiting the development of turning technique.
Thruster setup with Futures boxes
All sizes use three Futures fin boxes in a classic Thruster configuration. This setup provides a balanced combination of stability, control and manoeuvrability, matching the board’s all-round character.
Three Futures F6 profile fins are included, so the board can be prepared for the water without the need to purchase a separate fin set.
Torq TET construction
The Torq TET Mod Fun is built using Epoxy EPS Moulding technology. A lightweight EPS core is combined with biaxial fibreglass and epoxy resin. The external Shield Skin layer protects the board against scratches and common damage caused by transport and everyday use.
TET boards are produced in precision CNC-machined moulds, helping to maintain a consistent outline, rocker and rail profile across production. The construction is more resistant to regular use than delicate PU boards, making it suitable as a first hard surfboard or a board that is frequently transported between surf spots.
Choosing the right size
The 6’8 is the most compact and manoeuvrable version. With 42 litres of volume, it suits lighter beginners, intermediate surfers and more experienced riders who want easy wave catching combined with handling closer to that of a shorter board. The recommended rider weight range listed in the source data is 40-80 kg.
The 7’2 is the most versatile size in the range. It provides more stability and easier paddling than the 6’8 while remaining responsive through turns. It is a good first hard board for a lighter surfer or a progression board for someone moving down from a larger funboard. The recommended rider weight range is 50-90 kg.
The 7’6 offers the largest surface area, 52 litres of volume and the most predictable handling. It makes catching waves and maintaining a stable position during take-off easier. This size is suitable as a first board for a larger rider, a beginner model or a comfortable funboard for more relaxed sessions. The recommended rider weight range is 50-100 kg.
