A modern fish for varied conditions

The Torq TET Mod Fish combines the flotation and stability of a wider board with a fast, manoeuvrable ride. Its full nose and broad mid-section make paddling and catching waves easier, while the shape performs well in both weaker surf and cleaner, faster waves.

Torq recommends the board for waves from around 2 to over 6 feet. Its generous surface area helps maintain speed through less powerful sections.

Speed and easy wave entry

The wide outline creates a stable paddling platform and helps the board accelerate before take-off. Slight lift through the nose reduces the risk of pearling, while the fast entry rocker and relatively flat mid-section support early planing and efficient glide.

The full nose flows into a wide swallow tail. This provides enough surface area to generate speed while maintaining grip during faster rail turns.

V-Twin bottom shape

A single concave in the front section helps the board accelerate. Further back, the bottom transitions into a V with a subtle double concave running towards the tail.

This V-Twin shape makes rail-to-rail transitions easier and allows the board to change direction smoothly without losing much speed.

Thruster or Quad

Five Futures fin boxes allow the Torq TET Mod Fish to be set up as either a Thruster or Quad. The Thruster setup offers predictable handling and a more defined pivot point, while the Quad provides freer acceleration and strong hold during fast lines.

Three Futures F6 fins are included. A separate four-fin set is required for the Quad configuration.
