A versatile longboard for a wide range of conditions
Torq Longboard is designed as an easy-to-ride surfboard with a broad range of use. The full outline and medium entry rocker support efficient paddling, early wave entry and smooth acceleration. This makes the board especially useful in smaller and weaker waves, where shorter boards require more power and better timing.
The generous deck area and high volume provide plenty of stability during paddling and take-offs. This is a clear advantage for beginners, heavier riders and surfers who prefer a predictable, confidence-inspiring board.
Stability without limiting progression
Torq Longboard is not designed only for beginners. Its fast midsection, slightly pulled-in tail and balanced rocker allow the rider to hold speed down the line and link smooth turns.
You can move forward on the board and explore traditional longboard riding from the nose, while the shape remains responsive enough to develop your turning technique. This makes Torq Longboard suitable for more than just the first stage of learning.
Torq TET construction
The board is built using TET Epoxy EPS Moulding technology. It combines a lightweight EPS core with biaxial fibreglass and epoxy resin. An outer Shield Skin layer improves resistance to scratches, impacts and common damage caused by transport and everyday use.
Torq TET boards are produced in precision CNC-machined moulds. This helps maintain a consistent shape, rail profile and rocker from one board to another. Compared with more delicate traditional PU constructions, TET is better suited to frequent use, making it a practical first board, family surfboard or longboard that is regularly transported between spots.
Choosing the right size
The 8’0 is the most compact and manoeuvrable option. It still offers plenty of volume, while being easier to carry and quicker through turns than a traditional longboard. It suits lighter surfers, riders developing their basic skills and more experienced users looking for a mini-mal style board.
The 8’6 provides more stability and glide while remaining easier to handle than the longer versions. It is a versatile option for beginners and intermediate surfers who want efficient wave catching without moving to a full-size longboard.
The 9’0 and 9’1 deliver a more traditional longboard feel. They maintain speed well, make early wave entry easier and provide more room for moving along the deck. These sizes are well suited to cruising, learning noseriding and regular surfing in small to medium waves.
The 9’6 offers the highest volume and the largest surface area. It provides the most stability and glide, making it suitable for heavier riders, beginners who need extra flotation and surfers who prefer a relaxed, traditional style.
