Plenty of volume without longboard length
Torq TET BigBoy 23 combines the extra width and volume of a funboard with a more compact shape. It paddles comfortably and catches waves early while remaining easier to handle and position through turns than a traditional longboard.
The additional volume is carried throughout the board. This creates a stable platform for paddling and standing up without requiring the length of a larger surfboard.
For heavier and progressing surfers
The BigBoy 23 is a suitable choice for intermediate surfers who want to catch more waves and develop their turning technique. Its generous volume helps the board build paddling speed, while the stable shape provides more time to place your feet correctly after take-off.
It also gives heavier surfers the flotation they need without forcing them onto a long board. Longboarders can use it as a shorter and more manoeuvrable alternative for sessions where they still want easy paddling and plenty of wave-catching ability.
A shape that can be surfed harder
Despite its width and generous volume, the Torq TET BigBoy 23 is not limited to relaxed cruising. Its shape retains the performance features required by experienced surfers who want to ride fast and commit to stronger turns.
The slightly wider nose improves stability and paddling efficiency, while the rear section allows the rider to transfer pressure smoothly from rail to rail.
Single to Double Concave
The bottom transitions from a single to a double concave. This helps channel water beneath the board, supports speed generation and makes rail-to-rail transitions smoother.
As a result, the BigBoy 23 remains responsive and manoeuvrable despite carrying the volume normally associated with more accessible surfboards.
Thruster or quad fin setup
Five Futures fin boxes allow the board to be ridden as either a thruster or a quad. The thruster setup provides predictable handling and controlled turning.
A quad configuration can offer a faster feel with less drag along the wave face. This gives you the option to adjust the board to different conditions and surfing styles.
Three fins are included.
Torq TET construction
The TET construction combines a lightweight EPS core, biaxial fibreglass cloth and epoxy resin. Its outer Shield Skin layer improves resistance to scratches and minor damage caused by transport and regular use.
The boards are produced in precision CNC-machined moulds, helping maintain consistent shape, dimensions and finish.
