New for 2018, Tabou introduces a classic: the traditional 3S that Tabou worked on for a decade combined with select features from the compact 3S introduced in 2017. The 3S is Tabou´s most successful shape: easy to use and fun for all conditions. Fabian, the Tabou shaper took a traditional, longer outline and a forgiving, early-planing rocker and added select modern features, like a cut-off tail for easier jibing. Like the 3S, the 3S Classic uses a double step tail cutout to increase both speed and maneuverability. In a straight line, the cutouts have less wetted surface area and therefore less drag and a higher top speed. On the rail, the cutouts act like kick tail so that the board turns in a much tighter radius. The length of the 3S Classic allows it to go fast while being easy to balance and cutting through chop.
CHOOSING BETWEEN 3S AND 3S CLASSIC
If you are looking for your first short board, the longer outline of the 3S Classic is better for you. Likewise, you should also go with the 3S Classic if you prefer a board that is more forgiving rather than maneuverable. If you are already comfortable on a short board and want a board to help improve your wave sailing or freestyle while still being fun on flatwater, the more compact 3S is a better shape for you.
There are 3 sizes to choose from, depending on your weight and wind/wave conditions. Volumes to choose are: 97, 107 and 117 liters.
New for 2018 3S Classic has a longer nose for more traditional feel when riding, the fast rocker line which allows us for early planing and the outline and bottom shape are designed for generating power and easy to balance board while the non-planing situations. FOOTPADS AND STRAPS
3S features quality comfortable 4 Tabou footstraps. Footpads made of EVA provide soft feeling. You can use 3S classic with single back footstrap.
FIN BOXES AND FINS
3S Classic has single fin box with powerbox system, where you mount your fin with one screw from the top of the board. 3S is equipped with high class T-lab FR fin.
3S Classic is build using PVC Full Sandwich HD technology which provides great durability, stiffness and makes board light.
This board, like all Tabou boards, comes from the hands of famous Fabien Vollenweider. This French designer has more than 25 years of experience in shaping windsurf boards.
“I am always looking for ways to improve my shapes. I am a perfectionist and do not stop until I get what I want out of a board”, says Fabien, and continues: “We don’t just change a board because a new year is coming. We change a board when we have learned that something can be improved. Our shapes evolve over a two year process.”
These days all boards come without boardbag and without base plate. The reason behind is that many windsurfers they already have some older boardbags or base plates from their previous purchases, so it make no sense to include these items. Also, who would like to pay some extra euros or dollars?
Here at EASY SURF Shop we can assist you with picking up the right boardbag and base, which can be packed together and shipped to you. Please ask for a good quote for these extra accessories.
This is no problem, we can do it for you. It makes us to unpack the board from an original packaging (carton box, and plastic foil),, but we do it anyway to control the board befor dispatching to you.
As boards have a few options to screw the straps on, please indicate what you want.
Ah.. and don’t call us to fix the fin for you. That we won’t do… :).
Our main logistic warehouse is located in West Poland. This is a great location for sending goods all around the Europe and even further to some outside Europe destinations, as we have very good connections thru Germany. Sometimes we deliver boards straight from our partners’ warehouse, just to save on time.
As boards are too big to ship with UPS or DHL, we have to use big logistic forwarders like Kuehne+Nagel or TNT. That makes the whole operation a bit longer as it is not over night service. The shipping times varies from destination to destination, however it is a matter of 3-10 days. Please note sometimes we have to import the board from our supplier first (another few days).

We do extra efforts it wouldn’t happen: the board you purchase is quality checked before dispatching to you. It includes the packaging as well and if we find out that we need to pack it even better than the original packaging - we do it. So please don’t be confused if, for example you ordered Tabou board and it comes in a box with Starboard logo. That’s only because it was packed with additional box, coming from some Starboard.
But let’s be frank, taking into consideration that sometimes a board goes for 3000 km+ and being transferred from one to the other warehouse - it may happen that your board arrives with dings or damages. But don’t worry, we have a special procedure for that:
Before you sign any shipping documents
Please check if all items have not been damaged in transport. If any damage is visible, you have the right to refuse the delivery and ask to have it returned. If you cannot thoroughly check the goods please sign for as ‘unchecked’. It is your duty to inspect and confirm that the goods are in perfect condition before signing.
In any case, just inform us immediately.
But never worry - all shippings with boards are insured. You’ll never be left alone.
All windsurf boards we sell are manufactured in Far Easy, therefore it is not possible to send the board back to Thailand for their inspection or reparation. In order to deal with warranties straightforward we need to ask you to submit the following information.
- Receipt image
- Picture of serial number (you’ll find it easily near the mast track)
- Whole Product Image
- Detail Problem Image (maximum 4)
- Claim description - In your own words please describe what and how it happened.
