Gambit V2 – versatile allround performance
The PLKB Gambit V2 has been redesigned from the ground up as an allround kite for a wide range of riders and riding styles. Changes to the planform and profile improve steering response, stability, and hangtime while reducing bar pressure.
The result is a lighter, faster steering feel with predictable handling for both everyday freeride and more progressive riding.
Refined profile and more direct feedback
The updated profile is designed to improve stability, lift, and hangtime. Teijin materials in the leading edge and canopy reduce stretch across the kite’s span.
This creates a more direct response to bar input and helps the kite maintain its shape more consistently under load.
Lighter steering and reduced bar pressure
The revised planform gives the Gambit V2 lighter steering and reduces the effort required at the bar.
Faster response to rider input improves control through turns and loops while keeping the kite intuitive and easy to handle.
Rounded tips – easier relaunch
The new, more rounded tips are designed to improve relaunch.
Combined with the lower overall weight, this helps the kite get back into the air more easily and allows it to remain flying in lighter wind.
Refined leading edge thickness
The leading edge thickness has been adjusted to reduce weight and drag while maintaining stiffness where it is most important.
Lower drag supports faster flight and a more responsive overall feel.
Simplified bridle system
The Gambit V2 uses fewer bridle lines, helping reduce aerodynamic drag.
A shorter section of unsheathed Dyneema line also helps the kite remain properly tuned for longer according to PLKB.
More lift and improved looping
The Gambit V2 provides more lift and improved looping performance.
The combination of faster steering, reduced bar pressure, and the refined profile makes it suitable for both relaxed freeride and more progressive riding focused on jumps and dynamic maneuvers.
Larger One-Pump valves
The Gambit V2 features larger valves and tubes in its One-Pump system.
This makes setup easier and speeds up inflation before the session.
Teijin materials and Kevlar reinforcements
The leading edge and canopy use Teijin materials, while Kevlar reinforcements are placed in areas exposed to higher abrasion.
This construction is designed to improve durability during regular use, including repeated launching and landing.
Compass Bar LEI M – control bar for PLKB LEI kites
The set also includes the PLKB Compass Bar LEI M, designed for PLKB LEI kites. The bar features a redesigned Quick Release with Click Recovery for easy reset after activation.
The LEI version comes with 22 m lines.
Ceramic Ball Bearings and Pre-Stretched SK75 Lines
The Compass Bar uses Ceramic Ball Bearings and Pre-Stretched SK75 lines.
It also features a 3D Grip and Replaceable Loops, allowing key components to be adapted and replaced during the life of the bar.

3-STRUT HYBRID
Its lightweight 3-Strut frame offers maximum stability and improving its wind range. The Open-C shape gives the Gambit a freestyle component with consistent steering while the relative low Aspect Ratio gives the Gambit a super speedy water relaunch
HIGH DEPOWER BRIDLE SYSTEM
The Gambit has a single Pulley high depower fork bridle. The Leading Edge is supported by 3 bridle points that come together with a V shape creating more depower abilities, lighter steering and better gust handling, keeping a direct feel and comfortable ride
DOUBLE STITCHED LEADING EDGE
Multiple reinforcements improve durability. The leading edge and struts are built with the most durable Dacron. The entire span of the leading edge has been reinforced along the seam with double stitches to protect it from getting damaged when crashing or getting a pounding by waves, making it hands down one of the toughest kites on the market. All the bridle attachment points are reinforced with Dacron patches that are stitched on the inside of the leading edge so, even if all the power is channelled through one bridle point, the kite will not get damaged
KEVLAR REINFORCEMENTS
Every PLKB kite was reinforced with bullet proof Kevlar bumpers. These bumpers are filled with lightweight foam to create an absorption layer for crashes or when the kite accidentally got dragged over land. This way your kite lasts longer. This will increase the durability of your kite so you can play longer
