Lightweight leash for smaller waves
The ROAM Surfboard Leash Comp is a thinner surf leash designed primarily for lighter boards and smaller-wave conditions. Its 6 mm urethane cord creates less drag than thicker all-round leashes, making it well suited to performance surfing where keeping weight and resistance low matters.
As a competition-style leash, it is not intended for big waves, heavy boards or conditions where the leash may be exposed to exceptionally high loads. For those situations, a thicker all-round or big-wave leash is the more appropriate choice.
6 mm urethane cord
The 6 mm cord is made from strong yet flexible urethane. Its reduced diameter helps keep weight and water resistance low, allowing the leash to interfere less with fast turns and board movement.
Double stainless steel swivels
Two stainless steel swivels allow the cord to rotate freely as the board moves. This helps reduce twisting and tangling, particularly after wipeouts.
T-bar attachment with swivel
The board end features a T-bar attachment with a swivel and fastening loop. This creates a secure connection while allowing the leash to move more freely without excessive cord twisting.
Neoprene cuff
The soft neoprene cuff provides a comfortable and secure fit around the ankle. A quick-opening system makes the leash easy to remove after a session, while an integrated key pocket provides storage for a small key.
Triple-layer edge protection
High-wear areas feature triple-layer edge protection. This reinforces sections exposed to repeated bending and loading during regular use.
How to choose the right leash length
Leash length should generally be close to the length of your surfboard. As a rule, the leash should be no more than approximately 6 inches shorter or longer than the board.
