O'Neill Hyperfreak Fire 5/4+ Chest Zip w/Hood is designed to extend sessions in bone-chilling water. The next-generation TB4 Firewall uses graphene-infused durable fibers to improve heat retention and recirculation inside the wetsuit.
The construction also combines TechnoButter 4 Neoprene and TechnoButter 4X Neoprene, creating a flexible base that supports freedom of movement during surfing and other water sports.
Extra 0.5 mm for additional warmth
The 5/4+ designation means the wetsuit includes an additional 0.5 mm of thickness, increasing thermal insulation compared with a standard 5/4 mm construction.
This makes it especially suitable for riders spending long sessions in cold conditions where extra insulation can make a real difference.
Protection against flushing
The 360 Degree Anti Flush Barrier with Drainholes creates an additional barrier against cold water entering the wetsuit. Integrated drainholes help release excess water that gets inside.
Super Seal Wrist & Ankle Cuffs further reduce water exchange around the wrists and ankles.
Seam construction and durability
The wetsuit features Exterior Fluid Seam Weld on the outside and Glued and Blind Stitched construction on the inside. This combination helps reduce water penetration through the seams while improving durability.
The Minimal Seam Design reduces the number of seam lines, supporting both flexibility and overall sealing performance.
Reinforcement and practical details
The knees are protected by Recycled Krypto Armor Knee Padz, adding durability in one of the highest-wear areas of the wetsuit.
The model also includes a Double Super-Seal Collar, a key pocket with loop and an integrated hood for additional thermal protection in cold water.
