Modular hood and collar system
The key feature of the O'Neill Mutant 4/3+ Chest Zip Full w/Hood is the Modular Chest Zip - an interchangeable closure system that allows the rider to use either a hood or a collar depending on the conditions.
This makes the wetsuit highly versatile and lets you adjust head and neck coverage to suit each session. The latest version also features a fully double-lined construction.
Recycled TechnoButter 3X and TechnoButter 3
Recycled TechnoButter 3X Neoprene is used in the arms, shoulders and entry area, while Recycled TechnoButter 3 Neoprene is placed across the front, back and lower legs.
This layout uses the more flexible TechnoButter 3X in zones where freedom of movement matters most, while TechnoButter 3 is used throughout the remaining key areas of the suit.
Extra 0.5 mm of thickness
The 4/3+ designation refers to an additional 0.5 mm of thickness added for increased warmth.
This gives the Mutant 4/3+ extra insulation for colder sessions while retaining the flexibility and mobility expected from a 4/3 mm wetsuit.
Protection against flushing
The 360° Anti Flush Barrier with Drainholes creates an additional barrier against water entering the wetsuit, while the integrated drainholes help release excess water.
Anti Flush, Anti Roll-Up Cuffs help reduce both flushing and cuff roll-up, while Plasma Wrist and Ankle Seals provide additional sealing around the wrists and ankles.
Sealed seam construction
The wetsuit features Exterior Fluid Seam Weld on the outside and Interior Glued and Blind Stitched seams on the inside.
This combination is designed to reduce water penetration through the seams while supporting durability during regular use in surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing or wingfoiling.
Reinforcement and practical details
The knees are protected with Recycled Krypto Armor Knee Padz, reinforcing one of the areas most exposed to wear.
The suit also includes a Single Super Seal Collar and Hood and a key pocket with securing loop.
