Built for very cold water
O'Neill Hyperfreak Fire 5/4+ Chest Zip Full is designed to extend sessions in bone-chilling conditions. The key thermal layer is TB4 Firewall, which uses durable graphene-infused fibers to support heat retention and recirculation inside the wetsuit.
The construction also combines TechnoButter 4 Neoprene and TechnoButter 4X Neoprene, providing the flexibility needed for surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing and wingfoiling.
Extra 0.5 mm of insulation
The 5/4+ designation indicates an additional 0.5 mm of thickness added for extra warmth.
This provides more thermal insulation than a standard 5/4 mm construction, which is especially useful during longer sessions in cold water.
Protection against flushing
The 360 Degree Anti Flush Barrier with Drainholes creates an internal barrier designed to reduce sudden cold-water flushing. Integrated drainholes help release water if it enters the suit.
Super Seal Wrist & Ankle Cuffs further improve sealing around the wrists and ankles to help reduce water exchange.
Sealed seams and minimal panel construction
The wetsuit uses Exterior Fluid Seam Weld on the outside and Interior Glued and Blind Stitched seams on the inside. This construction helps reduce water penetration through the seam lines.
The Minimal Seam Design reduces the overall number of seams, supporting both flexibility and sealing performance.
Reinforcement and practical details
The knees are protected with Recycled Krypto Armor Knee Padz, adding reinforcement to one of the highest-wear areas of the wetsuit.
The model also includes a Double Super-Seal Collar to improve sealing around the neck and a key pocket with securing loop.
