The vest provides reliable front and back protection. Padding is used over the entire surface of the vest, providing optimum protection for the entire torso and additional buoyancy. Thanks to the front zip, donning and doffing is effortless. When surfing, the zip can be retracted to the flap so that it does not accidentally unzip during the session.
O'Neill has used Nytrolite foam technology in this vest. It is 3x lighter than PVC foam. Its closed cell structure, absorbs 15-20% less water. It is about 10% more buoyant than PVC, which means less foam could have been used in production.
