Overall Character
This set is built for the rider who has already mastered the basics and wants more — more speed, more precision, more direct feel of the gear. The JP-Australia XR IPR is longer and slightly narrower than entry-level wing foil boards, which gives you a more dynamic feel under the feet without losing all-round usability. The NeilPryde Swift Alu is a higher-aspect foil that gets you flying fast, holds speed better and turns sharper — it asks for cleaner technique but rewards you with serious freeride performance. The NeilPryde Fly IV is a powerfull, locked-in wing that goes upwind better than most wings in this class and gives you a sharper, more precise feel through every maneuver.
This is a set for riders moving from learning into riding — confident tack to tack, working on first turns, first jumps and first waves.
The JP-Australia XR IPR is a longer, slightly narrower board than typical entry-level shapes — and that is exactly what makes it work for this set. The stretched outline gives you fast, efficient take-offs and a smoother glide once you are flying, while the thinner profile reduces drag in the air. Despite the length, the centered standing position keeps the feel direct and compact, with a strong connection to the foil.
A subtle nose rocker with double concave V improves acceleration and keeps take-offs smooth. The pronounced tail rocker improves flight position and nose clearance, and the unique tail cut-outs reduce drag for faster water release. The IPR construction with full-depth high-density track blocks gives a stable, stiff platform for more dynamic riding, while the corduroy EVA deck pad keeps grip and comfort during longer sessions.
The smaller sizes (69 L, 79 L) are for confident riders looking for more speed and agility. The larger sizes (89 L, 109 L) work as a step-up board for heavier riders or for those who want a calmer ride with the same dynamic foil and wing.
The NeilPryde Fly IV is a compact, fast and direct wing built for performance freeride. Compared to a more all-round wing, the Fly IV flies higher in your hands, feels more locked-in and is more demanding to handle — it asks for cleaner, more precise input, especially through tacks and gybes. In return it goes upwind better than most wings in this class, holds power steadily across a wide wind range, and gives you the kind of direct feel that makes faster riding more rewarding.
The updated leading edge geometry adds stiffness without growing the tube, the shorter wingspan (especially in larger sizes) keeps handling sharp, and the matched camber profile keeps the response predictable across all sizes. Integrated battens stabilize the trailing edge, graduated 5x5 / 6x6 ripstop panels hold canopy shape under load, PVC windows give clear visibility and the Carbon Mono Handle keeps the grip light and direct.
Fly IV vs Firefly: the Firefly is more forgiving, more maneuverable and better cooperates with the rider — a better choice for wave riding and freestyle, where rotation and quick handling matter most. The Fly IV is sharper, faster, more upwind-oriented and more demanding — a better choice for dynamic freeride and first jumps.
The NeilPryde Swift Alu is a higher-aspect foil with carbon front and back wings on an aluminium mast and fuselage — a step up from typical learner foils in both performance and feel. It flies faster, holds glide better through weaker sections, turns sharper and goes upwind cleaner. The trade-off: it asks for slightly cleaner technique than entry-level foils. The reward: real freeride performance for a fraction of the price of a full carbon setup.
The Glide Swift front wing combines an inflected leading edge with high-aspect outer sections and a moderate sweep — that means agility in turns, low drag at speed and a fluid feel through transitions. The swept tail wing balances stability, speed and turning response. The aluminium mast is stiff enough to give direct steering feel without the full carbon price tag.
The biggest sizes (1200 and 1450 cm²) are very user-friendly — if you are moving up from a more beginner-friendly foil like the Glide Surf, the transition will feel smooth. Smaller sizes (down to 600 cm²) are for confident riders looking for top-end speed and tighter turns.
Adapter included. Fully modular — you can later swap front wings and stabilizers from the Glide and Glide Swift series.
Who Is This Set For
This set is for riders who already fly comfortably tack to tack, are working on first turns and feel that they want a smaller board, a faster foil and gear with more performance under their feet. It is the natural next step after a beginner / progression set — for the rider who wants to start jumping, riding small waves and pushing into more dynamic turns.
It is not the best choice for total beginners or someone buying their first own gear — for that, our X-Winger IPR + Glide Surf 75 HP + Firefly wing foil package for beginners is a better starting point.
