Lightweight shell harness for windsurfing

NeilPryde Proton WS combines the support of a shell harness with more flexibility than a conventional rigid-core construction. The stiff shell has been replaced with lightweight and durable Surlyn® material, allowing the harness to move more naturally with your body while still supporting the lower back.

Its low-profile shape and low weight make it suitable for freeride, wave and freestyle windsurfing, where freedom of movement and quick body position changes are important.

Flexible Fusion Composite core

The Fusion Composite core gradually adapts to the shape of your back. This provides stable support without the locked-in feeling of a very rigid shell. The construction also helps distribute load across a wider area, reducing concentrated pressure during longer sessions.

The harness is designed to stay in position and limit upward movement. This is especially useful in choppy conditions, during dynamic manoeuvres and when the sail load changes frequently.

Low-profile construction and freedom of movement

The slim shape keeps bulk around the waist to a minimum and allows a wide range of movement. You can rotate your upper body, work with your hips and adjust your stance without fighting against a stiff, oversized shell.
