The Combat HD is a versatile all-round wave sail that combines effortless acceleration, reliable control, and an exceptionally wide wind range. For 2026, the sail features a lighter, narrower batten above the boom, improving profile filling and increasing power in lighter winds. This allows the sail to plane earlier and maintain consistent drive in marginal conditions.
Construction and On-Water Performance
A higher aspect ratio delivers excellent drive and efficiency when sailing upwind, while maintaining speed and control during powerful wave rides. The Combat HD offers outstanding aerodynamic stability, whether rigged fuller for lighter winds or with increased downhaul tension for overpowered conditions. Its ability to remain composed and controllable in strong gusts is one of its greatest strengths.
Stability and Durability
An optimized luff curve and larger sail panels improve profile stability and structural rigidity. Fewer seams help reduce weight, while the reinforced Heavy Duty construction provides exceptional resistance to mechanical damage and the demanding conditions often encountered in shorebreak.
