Early lift and easy takeoff
Swift Carbon V2 keeps what made the Swift range so popular from the start - very early lift, easy takeoff, and intuitive behavior on the water. The innovative delta-shaped center section and high aspect front wing help the foil rise quickly and stay flying without feeling technical or nervous. This makes a real difference if you are still refining your technique or simply want a setup that gets up on foil efficiently without constant pumping.
Back wing update in V2
The main update in the V2 range is the new EF back wing, which gives the foil a sportier character, better glide efficiency, and lower drag. It adds a more lively feel, helps the setup build speed more smoothly, and improves the overall response in flight. As a result, Swift Carbon V2 combines user-friendly handling with the kind of performance more advanced riders will appreciate.
It is worth noting that the 1450 size uses a different back wing than the rest of the V2 range. This size comes with the previous-generation stabilizer, the same rear wing that was used in earlier model years. It has an area of 270 and a span of 42.
Dedicated rear wing for the 1450 size
The rear wing supplied with the 1450 features a boomerang-style curved outline with upturned wing tips. This design is optimized to balance speed, stability, and turning ability. Thanks to its distinctive curved shape, it offers more stability than many stabilizers of a similar surface area, while still feeling responsive and forgiving through turns.
This makes the 1450 setup especially well suited to riders who want easy lift and accessible handling, but still expect the foil to stay smooth and composed once flying.
Control in turns and natural handling
The carbon front wing features a refined outline designed to keep control high even in tighter turns. The combination of moderate sweep in the center section and more efficient outer sections helps the foil feel smooth, direct, and easy to manage under your feet. On the water, this translates into more confident jibes, better control on waves, and a more natural feel for freestyle riding.
Stiffness, durability, and low drag
One of the key strengths of this model remains the streamlined mast-to-fuselage connection. This design reduces hydrodynamic drag while also increasing the stiffness of the whole setup. The increased fuselage thickness in the connection area improves durability and helps maintain a direct, precise feel in flight. In practice, the foil reacts faster to rider input and stays stable even at higher speed.
Wide range of use
Swift Carbon V2 is not just a foil for relaxed freeride sessions. It is a setup that works well across a broad range of uses - from freeride and progression, to faster riding, wave sessions, and freestyle. Riders at an earlier stage will appreciate the easy lift and accessible takeoff, while the added speed and more responsive feel from the EF back wing will suit those who want to push their riding further.
In the case of the 1450 size, the more stable previous-generation rear wing gives the setup a slightly different balance, with extra control and forgiveness that can be especially useful in lighter wind and progression-oriented riding.
Modular system
Just like the previous version, Swift Carbon V2 remains part of NeilPryde’s modular foil platform. Front and back wings from the Glide and Glide Swift systems are cross-compatible, giving you more freedom to fine-tune or expand your setup over time. It is a practical solution if you want to adjust the character of your foil without replacing the whole package.
