Boom character

ATEC F 27 is built for riders who want the control and stability associated with carbon constructions but prefer an aluminium boom with a slimmer grip. It performs well in everyday freeride sessions and faster freemove sailing, offering consistent handling across a wide range of conditions.

Construction and materials

The forged aluminium structure provides the highest stiffness ever achieved in a NeilPryde aluminium boom. The reduced 27 mm diameter offers a more direct feel and helps limit hand fatigue, while maintaining strong resistance to torsional load during powered-up sailing.

Front-end system and power transfer

The VT Joint paired with the V-shaped mast cup increases mast contact area and reduces play in the connection, resulting in more efficient power transfer. It fits SDM masts securely, and with the included RDM shim it offers a stable interface for RDM setups as well.

Adjustment and ergonomics

The optimized cleat angle makes tightening and loosening the outhaul easier while preventing accidental rope movement. The trim-pin tail allows quick length adjustment and ensures a stiff, reliable connection to the boom body. The integrated boom lever simplifies front-end operation and adds convenience during rigging or on-water adjustments.
