Who the MANERA Classic is for
The MANERA Classic was designed to do exactly what a good wetsuit should do on the water. It delivers the essentials you expect from a dependable model for regular sessions: comfort, stretch and thermal protection. It is a good choice for riders getting into the MANERA range who do not necessarily need the brand’s most technical performance wetsuits.
It works well both for recreational riders and for those who spend a lot of time on the water and want gear that feels comfortable, moves naturally and does not become tiring during longer sessions.
Back zip and everyday comfort
This Back Zip version uses a zipper placed on the back, which for many riders is still the most intuitive and convenient solution when putting the wetsuit on and taking it off. MANERA uses a high-quality PK nylon zip here to help preserve the flexibility of the back panel.
On the inside, the zip is covered by an internal flap running across the back and around the neck. This helps limit water entry and also improves comfort, since the zipper does not sit directly against the body.
3D fit and freedom of movement
One of the key elements of this wetsuit is its 3D design. Instead of relying on flat 2D patterns and then trying to adapt them to the body, MANERA develops the wetsuit around a 3D shape first and only then converts it into production panels. The result is a more natural fit.
In practice, this means fewer air pockets, less water entry, better comfort around the armpits and crotch, and more natural freedom of movement while riding. A well-fitted neoprene wetsuit does not need to feel overly tight to work properly.
Materials and thermal insulation
The construction is based on C-Foam neoprene, chosen to provide a good balance of flexibility, weight and durability. In strategic areas, MANERA also uses XTEND fleece lining. This material improves thermal insulation without making the wetsuit feel heavy like some traditional fleece linings can.
Another real advantage of XTEND fleece is its fast drying time. If you ride on back-to-back days or often put on a slightly damp wetsuit, this makes a noticeable difference in day-to-day use.
Seam sealing and durability
The Classic uses SD2 Tape only where it is truly needed - in the most critical areas such as around the knees and crotch. The tape is applied on the inside over the seams to improve waterproofness and durability without unnecessarily stiffening the whole wetsuit.
The panel construction itself relies on glued and blind-stitched seams, meaning the needle does not pass all the way through the neoprene. This helps reduce water entry while keeping the wetsuit flexible.
Thought-out construction for regular use
MANERA pays a lot of attention to seam placement and panel layout. In this wetsuit, seams are reduced in areas exposed to heavy tension, friction and stretching. This improves not only comfort, but also the long-term durability of the construction.
Critical junctions are reinforced to help reduce the risk of leaks and premature wear. A useful detail is the Water Strainer, a perforated panel in the lower leg that helps drain water out quickly if it gets inside the wetsuit.
