Purpose and concept
Manera Seafarer Shorty Hybrid 3/2 is designed for riding in warm climates where a thin wetsuit may feel too cold during longer sessions. It is built using the same construction as the 3/2 steamer, with shortened legs to increase comfort and freedom of movement while maintaining core warmth.
This concept works well in places with warm air temperatures but cooling wind and extended time on the water.
3D construction and fit
The wetsuit is developed using full 3D design. Instead of adapting flat panels to the body, Manera first models the wetsuit in three dimensions and then converts it into precise production panels.
This approach creates a natural, second-skin fit that limits water entry and avoids pressure points.
Seams, sealing and durability
Critical areas are reinforced with SD2 Tape 2.0. The seams are glued, blind-stitched and internally reinforced with heat-welded tape, improving waterproofness, flexibility and long-term durability.
Sealing prints on the sleeves help keep panels in place and reduce water flushing.
Materials and thermal comfort
The Seafarer Shorty Hybrid 3/2 is built using the Triplex Seafarer construction, combining materials focused on protection, insulation and stretch. Limestone-based S-foam neoprene provides a balanced mix of warmth and flexibility, while the inner X10D+ lining enhances thermal comfort and stretch in the upper body.
The outer Re-flex skin improves UV resistance and supports dynamic movement on the water.
