Balanced stiffness for controlled support
Manera Eclipse Kite is a waist harness designed to deliver solid back support while preserving natural mobility. The concept is based on a carefully balanced mix of stiffness and flex, providing structure where support is needed and adaptability where movement matters.
Instead of going fully rigid, the Eclipse follows human morphology, allowing the harness to work with the rider’s body rather than against it.
Adaptive Shell with variable stiffness
The Adaptive Shell used in the Eclipse features progressive stiffness. The central section is stiffer and prevents the harness from folding or compressing the body under load, offering reliable lumbar support when riding powered.
Toward the edges, the shell becomes softer, allowing the harness to adapt to movement and body shape. This combination results in a shell that is supportive in the center and forgiving along the sides.
Comfort provided by Gel Foam
Inside the harness, Gel Foam distributes pressure evenly across the contact area. This creates a soft, cushioned feel that remains comfortable during long sessions.
Because the gel foam moves together with the rider’s body, contact with the harness feels more natural and helps prevent rubbing or skin irritation.
Down Hold System for stable positioning
To prevent the harness from riding up, Manera developed the Down Hold System. This asymmetrical attachment system distributes forces downward, keeping the hook securely in its original position even under strong kite load.
As a result, the harness stays stable throughout the session without the need for excessive tightening.
Tuck Flaps for added security
The Tuck Flaps work in combination with the Down Hold System. Positioned at the ends of the spreader bar and inserted into the harness body, they are compressed and locked once the straps are tightened.
This stiffens the connection between the harness and the buckle, further reducing any upward movement.
Safety and leash attachment
The kite leash attachment point is positioned toward the front of the harness for quick and direct access in emergency situations. The metal ring is mounted on the right side by default and can be moved to the left if needed.
Note: NAISH leashes are not compatible with the size of the metal ring and may present a safety risk during release.
ARC spreader bar
The Eclipse Kite is equipped with the ARC spreader bar, designed to improve harness stability and load distribution. This helps keep the harness in place and provides a more controlled and comfortable riding experience.
