Winter protection in an eco-performance construction
Manera Alt Steamer 5/4/3 FZ is a men’s wetsuit from the ALT line, developed as a greener alternative to conventional winter wetsuits. Built with 100% natural YULEX® rubber, it significantly reduces environmental impact while delivering thermal performance close to Manera’s MAGMA series.
This model is intended for cold to very cold water, from late autumn through winter, where reliable warmth and long-session comfort are essential.
YULEX® rubber and Magma Recycled insulation
YULEX® is sourced from FSC-certified Hevea forests without cutting down the trees. As a renewable resource, natural rubber offers a stable long-term supply and a much lower environmental footprint compared to oil- or limestone-based materials.
Inside, the wetsuit features Magma Recycled, a high-performance insulation lining that delivers excellent warmth, fast drying and reduced weight, while incorporating recycled materials.
3D design and natural fit
The wetsuit is fully developed using 3D modeling to create a natural, second-skin fit. This design approach minimizes water entry, prevents air pockets and allows the material to move only where the body moves.
Proper fit improves both thermal efficiency and long-term durability.
Seam construction and durability
Manera’s Strategic Structure places seams and panels away from high-stress and high-friction areas. All seams are glued, blind-stitched and reinforced with SD2 Tape 2.0, improving waterproofness, flexibility and lifespan.
Sealing Prints at the ankles and wrists add stiffness where needed to keep panels in place and reduce water entry.
Water drainage and leg stability
The Water Strainer system prevents water from collecting inside the legs by allowing it to drain instantly through perforated neoprene panels. Fusion Cut cuffs reduce bulk and limit water entry at the wrists and ankles.
For additional security in demanding conditions, Phantom Straps provide extra ankle stabilization, particularly useful for kitesurfing.
