The Magic Wave is designed as a true do-it-all wave board — quick to plane, fast upwind and incredibly fluid regardless of wind direction or wave shape. One of its key strengths is how naturally it adapts to your riding style: it responds extremely well to both front-foot and back-foot riding, keeping full control as you move along the wave. In smaller surf it feels lively and agile, while in bigger conditions it remains predictable and secure.

Construction

This latest generation introduces the S-TEC construction, making the Magic Wave roughly 400 grams lighter than before. Weight savings come from reduced deck coating, smaller EVA pads, a no-paint finish and a refined lamination process. The combination of S-glass, Biax Carbon and UD Carbon reinforcements increases stiffness and durability, while the bottom laminate now wrapping around the rails acts like an integrated stringer. The result is a board that is light, stiff and highly responsive underfoot.

Shape and details

A wider tail with a swallow tail design improves early planing and boosts manoeuvrability, especially in smaller waves. The slightly narrower nose sharpens precision without sacrificing stability. Carefully balanced volume distribution helps punch through whitewater and accelerate onto the plane even in marginal wind. The more centred balance point increases responsiveness, speed in transitions and easier rotations on the wave. A more parallel tail outline adds grip and control for both front- and back-foot styles.

The updated bottom shape — more V up front combined with tuned concave and rocker refinements — enhances comfort in chop and makes tight turns smoother and more controlled.

Early planing helps you position yourself exactly where you need to be, and the board holds speed effortlessly as you link sections together. It remains stable through transitions, keeps flow in down-the-line surf and accelerates quickly in onshore conditions.
