Who the Nova is for
Nova is designed for women riders who want a secure feel when riding powered, but don’t want an overly stiff harness. It fits both relaxed freeride cruising and more demanding sessions where stable load transfer and comfort over long tacks matter.
Medium-soft flex: control + mobility
The medium-soft flex keeps the harness supportive without feeling restrictive. It allows natural hip movement for transitions and maneuvers, while still holding its shape when the kite is pulling hard.
Back support: 3D PLUS_Spine
The 3D PLUS_Spine is a three-dimensional version of ION’s PLUS_Spine concept, built to increase back support—especially through the lower back—while maintaining freedom of movement for active kitesurfing.
Comfort and pressure distribution: Ergo Pad + HD_Foam
ION’s Ergo Pad is designed to protect the spine area and shift pressure away from sensitive zones for a smoother, more balanced ride. Inside, HD_Foam adds a comfortable, adaptive feel and doesn’t soak up water, so the harness stays lighter during your session.
Secure fit: Internal Flex_Belt + PVC buckles
The Internal Flex_Belt closure system pulls the harness snug from the inside and adapts to your anatomy, helping reduce shifting under load. PVC buckles keep adjustments straightforward and reliable.
Spectre Bar 2 + Spectre flaps
Nova comes with the Spectre Bar 2, built for stable load distribution and precise control. Spectre flaps (removable TPE parts) help prevent the spreader bar from twisting upward, adding stability when edging hard or sending jumps.
Leash D-Ring and included safety details
A Leash D-Ring next to the spreader bar provides a dedicated leash attachment point, and you can choose the side depending on your setup. The harness also includes the Kite_knife 2.0 multitool (safety knife + TX20 Torx and PH3) and a safety leash handle.
