All ION Rashguards are made of highly elastic SpanFlex_UV jersey. The hand feel of this supreme material makes the difference! They can be used to protect you from the wind-chill effect, UV radiation and abrasion, but also work as a thin extra layer underneath the wetsuit.

A UPF factor of 35 to 50+ (depending on the colour of the fabric - darker colour = higher protection) will protect your skin and fabric on sunny days. Lycra with extra protection is more durable and will retain its colour
