Kitesurfing bar with adjustable V / Y setup
Gaastra X7 Bar is designed to work with different kites and riding styles. Its adjustable line configuration system allows you to switch between Low V and High Y settings.
The setup is changed through a screw mechanism, making it possible to adapt the front-line split to the requirements of a specific kite without changing the complete bar.
For Gaastra kites produced up to 2026, the manufacturer recommends the High Y setting with the line split positioned at a height of 6 metres.
Auto-Untwist after rotations and loops
The Auto-Untwist system automatically realigns the front lines after rotations and kiteloops. This helps reduce line twisting and limits the need for manual untwisting during a session.
The system is especially useful for freestyle and dynamic riding, but it also improves convenience during regular freeride sessions.
One-hand reconnect quick release
The new quick release can be reconnected with one hand. This makes it easier to reset the safety system after activation, including while on the water.
The mechanism is designed for simple and intuitive operation, helping you return the bar to working condition without unnecessary handling.
Fully covered depower lines
Both depower lines are fully covered to reduce direct wear caused by movement and regular power adjustment.
The covered construction also helps the bar move more smoothly along the depower lines and provides a more consistent feel during operation.
Suicide Safety option
Gaastra X7 Bar includes a Suicide Safety option for advanced riders who want a more direct connection during freestyle riding.
The safety setup should always be selected according to the rider’s skill level, riding style and current conditions.
Two bar widths
X7 Bar is available in 46 cm and 52 cm widths. This allows the bar to be matched to kite size and the preferred steering response.
The narrower version provides calmer steering, while the wider bar offers more leverage and helps initiate turns more quickly.
