Versatile kite with strong Big Air performance
F-One BANGER QuadX was developed with input from Charles Brodel, six-time kite foil world champion. It is designed as a versatile kite for different conditions and riding styles, while offering particularly strong performance in Big Air.
The kite delivers vertical lift, long hangtime and a noticeable second lift. This helps with high jumps, rotations and kiteloops, while also making landings easier to control.
QuadX leading edge
The leading edge uses QuadX composite, providing high stiffness without unnecessary weight. This helps the kite maintain a stable profile in strong gusts and under changing loads.
The rigid structure improves steering response and limits deformation during hard edging, take-offs and loops. At the same time, the low weight broadens the wind range and helps the kite remain stable in lighter conditions.
Optimised material distribution
The construction uses an optimised combination of QuadX and HT80 materials. Each material is placed where its specific properties are most useful.
This allows the kite to combine stiffness, durability and low weight without overbuilding the entire structure. The result is a stable profile and smooth handling through the full wind range.
Stable position in the wind window
BANGER QuadX adjusts its position near the edge of the wind window according to the conditions. In lighter wind, it moves back into the power zone more easily, while in stronger wind it accelerates smoothly towards the edge.
This helps reduce excessive pull and keeps the kite more controlled in gusts. Its stable behaviour also makes it more forgiving when the rider makes small steering mistakes.
Smooth and progressive depower
Power changes are gradual and easy to manage. The progressive depower helps control speed, prepare the edge before take-off and regulate power during the landing phase.
This predictable response makes it easier to anticipate the kite’s behaviour during both freeride sessions and more demanding Big Air riding.
Six-point fixed bridle
The six-point fixed bridle provides a direct connection between the kite and the bar. The pulley-free setup improves steering precision and gives faster feedback.
The bridle supports the kite profile while preserving smooth movement and predictable handling.
Consistent bar feel
BANGER QuadX provides a steady and intuitive bar feel, making it easy to track the kite’s position without constantly looking at it.
This helps when timing jumps, rotations and kiteloops, and also improves control when riding in changing wind conditions.
Vertical lift, hangtime and second lift
The kite generates strong vertical lift without pulling excessively forward during take-off. Once in the air, it provides extended hangtime.
A second lift later in the jump helps keep the rider airborne and supports smoother landings. This is useful for high jumps, board-offs and rotations.
Size-specific tuning
Each size of the BANGER QuadX is tuned individually for the wind range in which it will be used. The smaller and larger sizes are not simply scaled versions of the same design.
Larger sizes are optimised for lighter wind and efficient power generation. Smaller sizes are quicker and better suited to strong wind, Big Air and dynamic loops.
Reactor Valve
The Reactor Valve allows faster inflation and deflation. Its high airflow makes setup quicker and also helps when packing the kite after the session.
