Big Air kite designed by Ralf Grösel
F-One TRIGGER Brainchild was designed by Ralf Grösel and developed at the Brainchild factory. The new generation builds on the character of its predecessor, delivering higher jumps, longer hangtime and lighter bar pressure.
The kite remains focused on Big Air performance, but its power delivery and handling are more accessible and predictable. This makes it easier to control during take-off, in the air and throughout the landing phase.
High aspect ratio and five-strut construction
The high aspect ratio supports efficient lift and extended time in the air. The five-strut structure stabilises the profile and helps limit deformation during hard edging, gusts and high loads.
TRIGGER Brainchild offers a responsive sheet-and-go feel. Power builds in a clear and progressive way when the bar is pulled in, making take-offs easier to time without constant kite position corrections.
New softer canopy material
The latest version uses a softer canopy material first introduced on the BANDIT Brainchild. It makes the kite more forgiving and helps smooth out sudden changes in load.
The softer canopy also improves the second lift later in the jump. This contributes to longer hangtime and a more progressive descent.
Longer hangtime and smoother landings
TRIGGER Brainchild is designed to maintain lift after take-off instead of dropping quickly. The extended hangtime gives riders more time for rotations, board-offs and landing preparation.
The improved second lift helps slow the descent and supports smoother, more controlled landings.
Lighter steering pressure
Steering pressure has been reduced across all sizes. The kite requires less effort to turn, which improves comfort and helps reduce forearm fatigue during longer sessions.
Despite the lighter steering, the kite still provides clear feedback through the bar. Its position remains easy to track whether powered or heavily depowered.
Redesigned bridle geometry
The redesigned bridle uses seven attachment points. An additional central attachment improves support along the leading edge and increases structural stability.
The one-side fixed bridle provides more accurate control, especially when the kite is depowered. It helps maintain steering precision in strong wind and during power adjustments before take-off.
Longer depower stroke
The updated bridle geometry provides a longer usable depower stroke. Riders can reduce power further while still maintaining back-line tension and effective steering.
This helps the kite remain responsive when the bar is pushed away, which is useful in gusts, during hard edging and when preparing for a controlled landing.
Strong and predictable lift
The seven-point bridle helps the kite maintain its profile as it accelerates towards the top of the wind window. This allows TRIGGER Brainchild to generate strong, efficient lift for powerful take-offs.
The combination of a stable profile, high aspect ratio and direct control makes the timing of jumps easier to anticipate.
Consistent handling across all sizes
Each size has been tuned to retain the same TRIGGER character and bar feel. Moving between sizes does not require riders to adapt to completely different handling.
The range has been streamlined to provide consistent steering pressure, depower response and second-lift behaviour across all sizes.
Brainchild technology
The kite uses a range of Brainchild construction technologies, including ProWeld. This method helps reduce the use of traditional stitching and unnecessary reinforcements.
Digital printing with EcoInk keeps the graphics process efficient and avoids heavier conventional print layers. The kite also features the Brainchild Valve for faster inflation and deflation.
